Endangered marine turtles are often washed up on beaches throughout the South West of our state, usually after storms which throw the young turtles out of their journey via the Leeuwin Current. The Dolphin Discovery Centre plays an integral part in their well-being and recovery, ultimately rehabilitating them enough to release the turtles back into the warmer waters off Exmouth, WA.

For us humans, it’s a bit hard to tell one turtle from another so when we rescue them we use a system of coloured markings so that we can track individual health, feeding program and data collection during their time with us. This does not harm the turtle and wears off over time.

We care for these turtles at our own cost for 6-9 months and would love for you to be involved by participating in our Adoption Program. We have different level of Adoptions available starting from as little as $6.25/month all the way to our Premium Adopt a Turtle Project for Philanthropists or Corporate Involvement. Choose from our three Adoption Packages:

E Adoption ($75/Year): You will be e-mailed a rehabilitation photo; fact sheet on our program; printable certificate; and E-Newsletter subscription.

Giftpack ($150/Year): You will be e-mailed rehabilitation photo; fact sheet on our program; printable certificate; and E-Newsletter subscription and plush toy.

Premium ($1,000/Year): You will receive 2*Annual Family (2ad/2ch) Passes to the Marine Discovery & Interpretive Centre (transferable as a gift), Plush Toy, Certificate, Photo, 1 VIP Trip for 4 people behind the scenes of the Dolphin Discovery Centre and our Research/Conservation work, E-Newsletter, fact sheet on our program.
